Emily Morris
Assistant Troupe Director
Emily Morris had her first opportunity to perform at the age of 4. It was then that she found a love for all aspects of the performing arts. Emily spent many of her teenage years working with her local youth-led theatre company, The Talent Company. During her time with The Talent Company, Emily took on roles such as Director and Choreographer for numerous productions. In conjunction with her time spent in the theater, Emily also served as an Assistant Instructor with Melissa Kathleen’s School of Dance. After graduating from high school, Emily went on to study Musical Theatre. Over four years at Emory & Henry College, Emily had the opportunity to take a myriad of dance classes from Annalee Tull, Ashley Campos, and Amanda Aldridge. Emily also had the opportunity to serve as a Supplemental Instructor for ballet and jazz classes under Annalee Tull for two years. Pairing her love for dance with her interest in anatomy and kinesiology, Emily found her true passion for teaching others. Emily has spent the past 6 years teaching dance to students ranging from ages 3 to 40 and has never looked back. Emily’s teaching method focuses on artistry, technique, and injury prevention. Her classroom environment can be described as relaxed, inspiring, and positive. She believes that anyone has the ability to dance and works with each student to make them feel confident in their abilities. Emily is excited to be back for her 4th year with the Wanda Kay’s dance family!
Although Emily is the only teacher on our staff that was not a Wanda Kay dancer, she shares so many values we love to share with our dancers! Emily will be the person to contact for any Troupe-related questions if you cannot reach Mrs. Baylee!
